As he slowly carried the fork to his mouth, the view in front of him momentarily went in and out of focus before suddenly distorting. The light became warmer, the sleeves of his uniform darker, newer. The person sitting opposite to him changed from Nott to a girl in a Gryffindor uniform with dark frizzy hair, their eyes meeting. Harry blinked, and the vision was gone, the hall back to normal. He swallowed. Lately, this had been happening a lot more often than before. Day time visions and vivid dreams, all featuring the same characters. He’d say it was his memories coming back, but…
There was no way those could be his memories.
Because in them, he was someone else.Harry's sixth year at Hogwarts is up to a bad start. The vivid visions and nightmares that have been plaguing him since the incident in his second year (the same incident that took away his memories) are getting worse, and Riddle is acting weird enough that there must be a devious plan in the making.

“Giving an idea a name is the fastest way to kill it. An idea, by definition, is fleeting, incommunicable. Every thought one has is the tangled ball of all the threads that have ever run through their mind, each idea and experience woven into each other, the mind pulling on every string to put it together. To have a name means it must be removed, all the strands cut from their infinite context so it can be understood by the world. No, I don’t think I’ll name it.”

Whist is a classic English trick-taking card game which was widely played in the 18th and 19th centuries. Although the rules are simple, there is scope for strategic play.
He was considering his cards when he felt it, a lightly-drawn line up and down his shin. He kept his face straight but met Henry’s gaze, instantly recognising the teasing glee behind his stone expression. It was bad form to communicate with your partner in this way to gain an advantage - fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately), Basil knew that was far from Henry’s intention.

The black branches of the naked boughs that lined the campus sidewalks were rigid and unmoving, the dust-coloured clouds that smudged the sky remained unswept, and even the few stars that shone through the cracks of mist refused to blink — for a blissful moment, Basil admired the scene before him, getting quite an unprecedented angle with his chin resting atop Henry’s head, and entertaining the thought of capturing the night in paints.
