Summary
Shinya has always been ruled by the Hiiragi family. For a while now, Kureto has taken this domination to a whole other level; Shinya can either obey his demands or face the terrible things that will happen to him once he becomes useless to the Lieutenant General. He has long learned to live with this arrangement.
Guren isn't willing to allow this to continue; his childhood friend, the person he loves, is hurting and he wants to make it stop. But defying Kureto is dangerous and may well kill him if he isn't careful.
It's easy to become drunk on power when the world is at its end and Kureto is the kind of man that will use everything in his arsenal to get what he wants.
Shinya is stuck between two powerful men, doing his best to survive. What will he choose - love or duty?

Something in Shinya snaps. Gone are the haughty posture, the eloquence and the sniper cool that is usually easier than breathing. Gone is the constraint. In fact, any sense of rationality floats a long way off in the distance, taunting him that he is no more than a whore now.
“No! Hands off!” The shout rips from his lips with vehemence, doused in thinly veiled desperation and a surprising amount of fire. His blue eyes burn brightly with fury and unshed tears, a highly combustible mixture. And the men are well beyond the line where mercy could be offered.

Shinya feels his jaw clench, as he outwardly remains calm. Kureto’s red eyes meets his clashing blue ones, and he speaks with a smile that makes Shinya’s hair stand to their ends. “Oh good, you’re awake.”
“Brother.” He greets with a smile, a plaster to everything that’s falling apart inside of him. His stomach has dropped to the floor and he feels sick, trapped like an injured animal. He thought to himself: 'I’m going to die.'
