His condition worsens, and though Dae-ho clings to hope, Nam-gyu knows the end is near. In his final moments, he silently appreciates the warmth and kindness he never thought he deserved.

“Or what about Ushijima?”
That catches Kiyoomi’s attention, and he stops in the middle of the street to turn around and scowl at Atsumu. “What about Ushijima?”
Atsumu must tilt his head back to smirk up at Kiyoomi from beneath the visor of his cap. “He’s not workin’ on quicks. You’d be a step ahead of him if ya did. He might even raise an eyebrow in surprise or somethin’ equally as scandalous.”
Kiyoomi stares at him, narrows his gaze as he scrutinises Atsumu’s face, the challenge in the upturned corners of his lips. “Are you attempting to manipulate me, Miya?” he asks.
“I dunno. Is it workin’?”
“Kind of.”
“Then yeah, I guess.”

When Kiyoomi and Atsumu accidentally pull off a minus-tempo quick during practice, Atsumu convinces Kiyoomi to practice it for the new season.
It's sort of inevitable that he convinces Kiyoomi to fall in love with him too. -

Summary
Even as kids, Atsumu has always been more attached to Osamu than his brother is to him. That's fine though, so long as he stays by Atsumu's side.
Then high school ends and Atsumu finds himself living his dream and yet horribly, utterly alone.
Five years later Atsumu has just about learned how to accept the distance adulthood has put between them when an injury has Atsumu reconsidering his first career plan: becoming Osamu’s housewife. The idea of it feels very different now — though no less appealing — than when he came up with it at five.

Uncertainty paints itself vividly over his senior’s features. “Plums?”
“I– just…” Atsumu begins, a choked sound at the back of his throat. The words tumble out of his mouth before he could even think to process the weight of them. “The plums,” he says, a shaky breath, then starts again, “the damned plums,” Atsumu digs his nails into his skin and focuses on the deep crescents they form in his palms. “I can’t —” his voice breaks midway, “I can’t eat them anymore.”
The thing they don’t tell you about falling out of love in your twenties is that you never really do fall out of it completely.Series

“That’s good,” Motoya nods, and then the chip he’s munching on is slipping down the wrong pipe. “Wait, what the fuck?”

Sakusa fixes him with a vague expression of something like distaste. There's a scathing edge to his tone when he speaks. "Contrary to what you seem to believe, not everyone who meets you is instantly dying to get into your pants, Miya."
"Lucky I don't really care right now what 'everyone' wants to do, then." Atsumu swivels his mug around on the tabletop a few times, and then brings it to his mouth to drain the last few dregs of his latte. Over the rim of his mug, he adds casually, "Just you."
Whoa hey Bodyguard Omi, I think Spoiled Rich Kid Tsumu might possibly have a teensy crush on you.
