Summary
On Monday mornings I can still taste him and a deep blue feeling nests between my lungs. It sings to me about how the world promised me more than prostitution and a hope of upward mobility that has no substance. I smoke, then, to silence the bird in my ribcage, and to get myself to feel compliant, moldable. To drown the bird is the only way to stay afloat, really. I could give in to the revolutionary tendencies dormant in all of us, but where would that get me? Under the ground, most likely. If I’ll even get a burial.
or
Despair has comfortably settled in the ribcage of an artist, whose life seems to have come to a standstill. A poet, who calls himself Tommy le Homme, will be the complete undoing of a young art student with a smoking problem. Maybe our bodies are worth living in after all.

“Pain was how he knew he existed, it was the shadow he cast on the world.”
The fight with Nico hadn’t quite gone according to plan and Clancy is so, so tired from it all.

...and all he could think was: “What if? What if I won't find a second toothbrush in the bathroom anymore? What if I won't even find empty bedsheets on the couch?” The rational part of House's mind knew that such a thing was simply not possible. He was there a few hours ago, why wouldn't he be now? But it can't hurt to check… right?
Wilson moves in with House after separating from his wife. House has nightmares, which feeds his paranoia, so he seeks comfort in the dead of night.

Summary
HALF LIGHT: But they didn’t just drop you off, Harry. They left you to see if you’d swim, or if your engine would finally, mercifully seize up. They’re waiting for you to break.
ESPRIT DE CORPS: Kim is not waiting for you to break. Jean…
PERCEPTION: It’s not so much malice, as exhaustion. You’ve exhausted him.
HALF LIGHT: You’ll exhaust Kim, too. You always do.
PHYSICAL INSTRUMENT: Come on, seriously?! It’s just a mess. You’ve cleaned up messes before. We can make this apartment look like it never happened.
PAIN THRESHOLD: Wait, that’s not entirely—
Harry gets up, grabs a trash bag, sets his teeth, and gets to work.OR
With Kim’s transfer delayed and the 41st precinct’s bar for Harry firmly at the level of “occasionally on time”, Harry is left alone to deal with his disastrous apartment.

KIM KITSURAGI — “I think some part of you, however small it may be, wants you to suffer.” His voice is almost a whisper. His hand is cold on the side of your face as he cradles your jaw. He tilts your head up and looks into your eyes. “Somewhere, deep down, you enjoy hurting yourself.” Deep brown eyes meet grey-green. Your throat burns.
YOU — There’s a sour taste in your mouth.
1. “Fine. I do enjoy hurting myself. I’m a horrible person and I deserve it.”
2. “What’s it to you?”
3. Say nothing.
4. “No I don’t.”Bookmarked by b0nehilda

Summary
Peter looked down to see blood coating Wade’s arms and hands, blood that looked too wet and red to be old. Wade lowered him to the floor where he leaned against the wall, eyes widening at the red that was slowly spreading throughout the white spider on his chest, too big to be from a minor injury he didn’t have to worry about.
Ah. He'd been shot. He probably should be panicking.
