Summary
It's the December after Iwaizumi’s last year in university when Tokyo welcomes him with a new ad campaign for Bright Days toothpaste, and Oikawa Tooru—fresh off a run at the 2016 Summer Olympics—has decided to grace the city with his signature grin, a flip of his wayfarer sunglasses, and the most irrepressible tag line for the signboard above.
‘Are you in love with me?’ it reads, Oikawa taunts, and Iwaizumi can only find the whole thing a pointless exercise in the usual flirtations.
(Because i would never fall for you in a million years, he types out in reply, before deciding against it.)

Summary
“I figured it out about a month before graduation.”
When Oikawa explains this, they are sitting together in a boat in the middle of Lake Pichola, India, hiding at the end of the fourteenth century with no one to bother them. Hajime sifts his hand through the water to cool his face while Oikawa pauses to collect himself, sights fixed on the royal blue of an emerging night sky. He holds two fingers up to the yellowed moon, pinches it into forced perspective, and palms it completely to force the light out of his eye. At the view, he smiles like he’s defeated all the knowing gods, the fates and their fickle futures, and humbles himself from the stratosphere.
“You know the story, Iwa-chan,” Oikawa tells him, back on earth. “Boy jumps to Miyagi in attempt to run away. It is raining, when he meets another, and they are both five years old. Neither of them can decide if he is from years past, or years to come. Hell, he could be a monster, for all they know.”

Summary
Maybe it’s because Oikawa is more than something gilded. When Hajime thinks of those seventy-two kilograms of wonder and weight, his one-hundred and eighty-four centimeters, arms outstretched, he knows his best friend's still learning to tower. Oikawa Tooru. That name of his races through his head like it’s making a rallying tour, a victory tour, honestly, because there’s no doubt about it by now—Hajime wants Oikawa, likes him even, but not because he’s made of myth. Oikawa’s first death might have come by lightning, but Hajime doesn’t seek such flash.
Because for all the love Oikawa gets as Miyagi's golden boy, Hajime will love everything under the luster.
Or, a tale in which Iwaizumi Hajime is born into the world with twenty-five lives. His best friend, Oikawa, isn't quite as lucky.Series

Family. Haru mouths it to himself. The word feels foreign on his tongue, he doesn't think he’s ever said it out loud before.
Haru looks around. At the flickering lights, the moldy ceilings. The rusting bathroom pipes, the water that runs brown. He hears the laughing, the shouting, the sound of-
Family. Haru tries it again.
