Summary
Turmoil spreads across the troubled land in Japan during the Sengoku era as disputes continue to flare over shogunal succession. If the human clans weren't warring amongst themselves, they were fighting an endless battle against the various types of demons of the youkai race aiming to take advantage of the internal discord. The few humans adept at wielding holy power stand as the only real defense against the fierce demonic race.
The wolf demons in particular have been sweeping the lands around their dens, looking to expand their territories, stealing riches and in general slaughtering human lives. The eastern pack has become especially ruthless with a new fearsome leader at the helm of it all. Several villages have fallen so far to his army and now he sets his predatory eyes on the village of Edo. What do the gods have in store for him, his pack and the wayward priestess that fate has decried should cross paths?

Summary
A messenger hawk practically fell from the sky and onto the deck. It croaked quietly in misery when a soldier scooped it up, its wings fluttering from exhaustion, feathers tipped in frost. The urgency that had driven the bird to fly beyond reason was immediately clear when the scroll was untied from its leg and slipped free from the oilcloth that had protected it from the elements – the wax seal of the head Fire Sage gleamed in the dying sunlight.
**
“Dead.” Admiral Zhao stared at the scroll. The almost habitual smirk was gone from his face, and his expression was almost slack from the shock. “The Fire Lord is dead?”

Summary
Orihime died once.
She died beside her father — betrayed within the very manor that bore their name. Her stepmother’s jealousy had long festered beneath silk smiles, and her stepsister’s envy sharpened itself into something lethal. In the end, it was not politics nor war that claimed her life, but the quiet cruelty of blood turned venomous.
But death did not keep her.
Awakened years before that night of betrayal, granted a second life by a god whose intentions remain veiled, Orihime remembers everything.
This time, she will make them pay.
Yet fate refuses to follow the path she once walked.
The Crowned Prince of the North — a man who never once looked her way in her past life — chooses her as his bride. She is summoned to a palace she had never entered before her death. Welcomed by an Empress who does not age. Surrounded by nobles who whisper that she is unworthy. Protected by a prince whose motives remain unreadable.
Her second life was meant for vengeance. So why does destiny continue to place her upon a throne she never sought?
And if the gods truly returned her to this world — Was it to avenge the dead…Or to change the course of an empire?
