Samwise Gamgee cared not for weilding great weapons, overthrowing great cities, or fighting great battles. So when the One Ring tempted him, it tempted him with the thing he did care about- more than anything else in the world.
(In which Sam notices just how much of a hold the Ring has over Frodo, and makes him take a break from carrying it- but nobody is immune to the thrall of the Ring, not even Samwise the Brave. Based on both film and book universe, but mostly inspired by Tolkien's style of prose. Sam's character is probably more consistent with how it is in the book, as well as the master/servant dynamic. I hope you enjoy!)
