Summary
When she was finally cleared out of the Fourth Division, Momo got back to work, and pretended everything was normal. She did so for the first few days, anyway: leading her division was a lot of work, and she quickly settled in a forced routine so busy that she didn’t have time to pretend anything anymore. She didn’t have time for much, really, and she liked it that way; it kept her from thinking, an activity she had quite overdone while stuck in the Fourth. That was how she overlooked what must have been obvious to everyone else: her new routine wasn’t a sustainable one, because the Gotei 13 couldn’t very well function for long with three Captains wanting.
