There's a warm weight beneath him, legs tangled between his. A pair of hands pulls him closer, palms calloused and very much real. Some of Leon's lingering fear melts away, and his head falls, meeting a bare chest. A steady heartbeat thumps in his ear.
"That's it, querido," Luis whispers. His voice has a rasp to it that suggests that he's just been rudely awoken as well. "You're safe now. It was just another dream."

Following the events at Valdelobos, Leon tries his damnedest to keep Luis safe.
Three months of extended quarantine beneath the supervision of an agent as proof of reform. It’s a luckier break than either of them have ever been given before.
Leon does his best not to fuck things up. Does his best to ignore his feelings and attachments.
After all, why would Luis ever want him? Maybe if Leon doesn’t give him an excuse to leave, then he’ll stay.

“I know I need glasses, Sancho,” Luis cut him off before Leon could even finish what he wanted to say.
“You know you need glasses? But you still don’t have any?”
It seemed right now was a rare instance when Luis became sheepish as he avoided Leon’s gaze. Luis licked his lips before speaking softly. “I don’t want glasses. I don’t want you to think I’m…a nerd.”
OR
After returning from Spain, Leon is left in charge of Luis until the government decides what to do with him. Leon is patient during Luis' recovery, but once Luis has returned to his usual self, Leon notices Luis squints a lot and gets headaches after straining his eyes. He can only come to one conclusion. Luis needs glasses.
