“Yeah,” Minho says. An exhale, punched out. He pushes a hand through his hair. “What do you want for it?”

Summary
Living simply is one of the tenets that Minho claims he lives by, and in a nutshell that usually means just letting things come and go as nature intended. In another life, he might have settled down back in Gimpo, opened a barbecue restaurant and lived in an apartment right above it with his three cats. Maybe he would have taught dance lessons on the side locally, or commuted to Seoul to work with bigger teams. Maybe he would have gotten a job working for that one auntie down the street with the corner store that stocks the brand of banana milk he really likes. But in another life, who knows if a cheeky young man with a gummy smile and doe eyes would have walked into the room and altered the trajectory of his existence forever? That he’d be across the world in a place full of people that don’t know him and yet still feel anchored by the very hand intertwined with his own?
Life’s been nothing but unnatural ever since some radical choices were made over six years ago, but having Jisung’s hand in his own, seeing the smile still sitting on his face whenever their eyes meet — that is what’s natural to him.
“...Do you ever think about it?”

Summary
Nothing in Minho's life is ever complete until he's shared it with Jisung; such has been the case for the last twenty years. It gets to a point.
He's seen Jisung interact with countless patients and families. He’s seen how his charm and confidence make even the parents who side eye him for his youthful face and the tattoos on his arms come to trust him with their entire worlds. The children themselves are even quicker to warm up to him, and Jisung is always able to examine them without any major fuss.
Sometimes Minho wishes he could send him off to do his rounds for him.

Summary
“Y’know, you really talk a big game, when all it takes to keep you still is a little force in the locker room. Are you that helpless without your guard dogs?” Jisung tilts his head to the side as he speaks, blinking his eyes with faux sympathy.
The urge to act like a dog himself and bite gives Minho whiplash. He tightens his grip on Jisung’s shoulders and slams one of his padded legs into Jisung’s knee instead, a groan escaping the younger’s lips instantly. Minho takes the chance to switch their positions, slamming him into the lockers with much more force than necessary. The sound echoes in the room as Jisung shuts his eyes and leans his head back with a curse, chest heaving.
“I know I’ve been cordial on the ice and everything, Han, but don’t you forget that I don’t like you as much as you don’t like me,” Minho begins. Jisung keeps his eyes shut, head still tilted to the ceiling. Minho jostles him against the locker. “Look at me when I’m speaking.”
Jisung still doesn’t open his eyes, laughing instead as he says, “Fuck you.”
OR: The one where Jisung hates Minho, and Minho hates Jisung. Too bad they're stuck on the same hockey team now.

Summary
He once heard somewhere — Jisung doesn’t remember if it’s a movie, a tv show, or something he read on Twitter — that when you realize you like someone, you’ll know. And we’re not talking about a silly little crush on your coworker, or having a brief fixation on some actor you’ve seen in some random late night film, no; we’re talking real, soul-crushing stuff. There was already a seed of something planted in Jisung’s chest the morning he met Minho again during brunch hour, and if he was being absolutely observant and retrospective about it, then every single event that followed is like…fertilizer. Water. Sunshine. It’s the little things that add up.
Jisung thinks they’ve got a good thing going on now, and despite telling himself time and time again to take things lightly and not get attached, he can’t help but wonder how much better it could be if they just had more time. He knows he said a few days ago that he and Minho are just doing this for fun, that all of this is just him striking out to see if anything will actually come out of it, but the deeper Jisung goes…the less he seems to want to pull himself out of it.
