Summary
The Swiss National League doesn’t care about the legendary Hollander-Rozanov rivalry. When the MLH can’t negotiate with the Hockey Players’ Union in time to prevent a hockey lockout at the start of the 2015 season, the Zürich Lions jump at the chance to sign both Shane and Ilya to short-term contracts. For four months in Switzerland, they share a team, a line, a house, and a bed.
Then the lockout ends in January, and it’s time to go back. Back to different countries, cities, lives. Beds.

Even if it's only every second Tuesday. Yes, David broke his heart, and he broke David's right back, but David is still important to him. Derek doesn't understand why even though Patrick has explained it to him again and again. Patrick knows that deep down David is a good person. Not always a nice person, but definitely a good person. And he's important to Patrick, even if only as a friend who he sees once a month.
On his way to Schitt's Creek for his monthly visit, Patrick has a car accident that changes the trajectory of his life.

The first thing the internet told Patrick was to go to hospital. He knew he should go. But he also knew he couldn't drive himself, not with something lodged in his ass. And there's no way he's going to involve Ray in this mess. He briefly thought of Stevie, but they'd only met the day before and texting someone you barely know to come help you dislodge something out of your ass isn't exactly a great first impression. Which left... David.
