Summary
Maybe if the video ended there, Shane thought, it would be okay. Okayish. Still incriminating. Still a fucking disaster. Still embarrassing, to have his breakup with this beautiful actress filmed and disseminated on Reddit of all fucking places, but not a nail in his coffin, burying him alive. But the video didn’t end there.
“Can I ask if you’ve ever been with another guy?” she had to ask.
And he, tears visible in his eyes, had to nod.
Just once. Just a single nod.
Why did he have to nod?
“Have you ever told anyone that before?” He shook his head. “Was it different? With a guy?”
“Of course.”
Of course.
“Was it better?”
“Yes.”

Shane’s conversation with Rose is secretly recorded. Months later, after the All-Star game and Ilya’s confession in Russian, the video gets leaked online. Shane is outed to the world while Ilya is in Russia, and must now finish the 2016-2017 season with the entire world in on his secret.

Summary
Remus keeps himself alive like this: A wary attitude towards every wayward soul he encounters. A penchant for lucky breaks, cellars of canned goods discovered the day he eats the last of his handmade rabbit jerky. A natural resistance to dirt in his food, built up over his childhood: his mother used to say he was half wolf, a little bit wild, soul tied on some base level to the life of the Southwest’s dusty dirt. A double barrel shotgun, ammunition packed into the pockets of his tattered knapsack.
Remus keeps himself alive like this: He keeps moving. He holds onto everything of use: an extra head gasket for his ‘74 Ford, an adjustable-jaw wrench rusted stuck at ⅜”, huge floppy fold-out maps of National Parks and rivers and interstates that blanket his passenger seat. He watches out for himself, one eye always open, a prickling wariness at home in his spine. He convinces himself he isn’t lonely, because the cost of companionship is the survival his clings so tightly to.
Remus keeps himself alive like this: He kills, and he doesn’t feel bad about it.
Then he meets Sirius.

Sirius really likes Remus. He wants the two of them to be closer. If that means doing things Sirius doesn't enjoy, so be it. After all, he's let plenty of people do worse things to him.

Summary
“Do you want to know how it feels?”
Shane let his hand fall back to the couch. He pushed himself up onto his elbows and lifted a brow at Rozanov. “What – holding the Cup? You’ve already made that joke once.”
“No.” Rozanov’s fingers encircled Shane’s wrist and then he was pulling Shane’s hand between his legs.
Or: Shane tops.

Summary
It’s a Friday afternoon. On Fridays, Sirius goes to the pub with his friend James. James sometimes brings his wife along, and sometimes just countless pictures of his son. Sirius sees the kid at least twice a week but still he looks at each photo as if it were a great treasure.
Remus goes in fifteen minutes after them, sometimes half an hour. Sometimes he doesn’t go in at all and sits in his car instead, waiting for the bartender to call last orders. Twice he felt brave and sent a drink to Sirius’ table, but left before it was delivered. Both times the bartender told him the same: this is a pub, mate. You want to talk to him, go talk to him, I ain’t doing table service.
