Summary
My junior year English teacher had something called the Wall of Awe. Each Monday, we'd post something about the previous week that filled us with a feeling of awe. That was the idea, anyway. Soon enough, it devolved into our personal rants, therapy sessions, and reflections. It's the source of some of the most insightful things I've ever written, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I don't have nearly all of them because I only started writing them in my notes app first about halfway through the year. These are some of my favorites.

Her father had never been a kind man. He didn’t see the point in sparing feelings. He told it how it was.
But in the same way his harsh truths had burned away layers of lies upon the world, it had burned both of them. He had let it grow out of control until it was an unthinking, unfeeling, all-consuming inferno with no regard for the lives it left burned in its path. And that led her here. Back to their old apartment, where her family had lived for a few peaceful years before everything had started to crumble.
