Summary
Obaa-chan pulled back and held his cheek in her gnarled hands. "In a matter of speaking. You're not dead, but you're not awake," she said. "Your body is back in the physical world. Your mind is in between worlds for some time."
"I don't understand," Shane said, shaking his head. "This is crazy. Why would…"
And then he remembered.
Marleau taking him out on the ice. The dizzying blur of lights and faces above him. The searing pain in his collarbone and the back of his head. A final, feeble thought—I'm glad Ilya isn't here to see this; he would worry.
And then pure darkness.
Oh, god.
Shortly after Shane begins to date Rose, Marleau knocks him out on the ice, sending him into a coma. As a terrified Ilya, who is away for his father’s funeral, rushes to Shane’s side, Shane is taken through a series of visions exploring the past, present, and future.
Or: Shane meets two dead women, a psychic, and a faceless entity; travels into the past of his loved ones; and answers a question that has long been out of his grasp: what does he really want?

Summary
The entire time his neighbour plays, Atsumu is mesmerized. The piece is utterly gorgeous, spell-binding, circling and lilting and a little sad. When it ends, the last chord drifting away, he realizes his eyes have closed, his forehead resting against the wall.
Before he knows it, he’s clapping, heart thumping in his chest. “Whoa,” he breathes. “That was beautiful.”
For some reason, he isn’t expecting a voice to answer.
“Uh, hello?”
It’s a deep tenor voice, prim and soft, coming from the wall just above Atsumu’s head. Atsumu jerks back.
“Goddamn, the soundproofing really is awful,” he yelps, which is absolutely not what he meant to say.
Miya Atsumu is a famous songwriter coming off a disastrous last show and profound heartbreak. Sakusa Kiyoomi is a famous classical pianist coming off a heavily criticized performance season. They move in next to each other and find that they can hear each other through the walls. So begins a wonderful, bickering friendship full of music that maybe, just maybe, might become love.
Caveat? They don't know who the other person is.

“Well,” Hieheart says. “You’re a pretty amazing witch already, Jujy. I’m sure you’ll find your answer with a little time.” He pauses, and Jujy lets the praise suffuse her with warmth. “When I get stuck,” Hieheart muses, “I find that getting away from my work helps. Some separation from a task can help me see things in a new light.”
Jujy doesn’t really like that idea; it makes her itchy and restless. But…nothing else she’s tried has worked. “Getting away how?”
Hieheart stands. “I think,” he says grandly, “that it’s about time we take a vacation.”
To unwind and relax after long hours studying, Jujy accompanies Hieheart on a vacation.

Summary
“I love you,” Mizi gasps, eyes blurring with tears. Sua smiles against her skin. “But I need to know. Are you real?”
Sua steps back, sweeps her gaze over Mizi lovingly. They spend hours, or days, or years staring into each other’s eyes. Mizi never wants to stop. Mizi wants to stop now, because this isn’t right, hasn’t been right. Sua is supposed to be warm, present in a way she isn’t, despite how she acts. Sua is supposed to be alive.
Sua’s face is fond. Something about it sends chills down Mizi’s spine. “Does it matter?”
After her rescue from the stage, Mizi begins to see Sua in her dreams...and in real life.
