Jesper realized what was about to happen seconds before it did, but he’d barely got Wylans name out of his mouth when the creature grabbed him. It yanked him up into the air flipping him upside down, his pack falling open and bottles full of who-knows-what tumbling out. The room was filled with mini explosions which prevented Toyla and Tamar from getting to the creature.
It slammed Wylan against the wall and Jesper felt his heart burst as he watched his head smack into the stone.

Jesper could distinguish the sound of Nina’s voice bouncing around the room, question and word of betrayal flowing from her mouth in rapid fire. Inej alongside a very confused looking Matthias stayed quiet. However, Jesper could see the shift in Inej’s expression, her mouth turning slightly down and eyebrows creasing.
