Summary
You're hired at the local church, and you definitely don't have the hots for the pastor, but when there's strange disappearances around the county and your headaches keep getting worse, it's nice to have a comforting presence around during those long working hours.
Even if he has secrets that seem dangerous enough to kill.
Even if his kindness sometimes seems like a façade for something much darker lurking beneath that easygoing expression.
Or, workplace romcom, Mandela Catalogue edition <3Reader is written to be a trans man, so there's going to be ample depiction of that.

"You try to pick yourself out of the pieces of nightmares, unfinished dreams hissing and bubbling in the back of your head, words in a voice distorted and malicious.
‘I am your true savior.’ It says, and it almost sounds sweet." -

What happened after the night one of Paris' most infamous food critics gave his first and last praise of Gusteau's, and what led to the establishment of the La Ratatouille bistro? The answer lies in four individuals, an unlikely culinary quartet seemingly brought together by time, fate, and their memories.
What was once a single short story focusing on Ego leaving Gusteau's on that fateful night and the penning of his famous review in his office will be expanded to include Linguini, Colette, and Remy, eventually culminating in a chapter involving all four of them. Includes additional information such as headcanons, references, and my own commentary.
Here's to more years to come for Pixar's Ratatouille!
(Also, please heed the tags since this fic will include some heavy topics in the middle sections of each short story, or, as I personally call them, the "Lost Time" sequences, as well as the afterword.)
UPDATE: The second short story, "Scène deux: Alfredo Linguini - Worn Out," has been posted!

The address in your hands glared at you as much as you glared at it. 20 hours of community service helping some priest tidy up his garden, two hours a day for ten days, and you could be well shot of the place. That was the plan; keep your nose down, plant some pretty flowers and get out as fast as possible. Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

Due to AI scraping, this work will be restricted to those with accounts before my next update, (roughly 07/14/2025) If you are a guest reading this, please request an account, I know the wait list is intimidating but it's really only about 12 days.
You're a fresh faced journalist in the big city, and have just landed an interveiw with the elusive Gabriel Starr, leader of what is colloquially known as the 'Mandella Cult' A group that has spread like a virus throughout the country, famed for radically changing it's members into almost new people (wink wink, nudge nudge). Throughout extended interactions with this man, you try to uncover what exactly his Cult. Sorry. Church is all about, and try ever so helplessly to not get tangled in his web.
OR
Journalist reader/cult leader Gabriel, because I CAN :]]]]]]
The rating WILL go up, it's just currently set to mature as there isn't any directly explicit content (yet)
---"And the rumors of... illegal activities?" you ask, falling back on the questions that were given to you by your boss, the head of your column, Dave Lee.
"Merely rumors," he looks disappointed. Like he expected better of you. You grit your teeth.
