M doesn’t bother answering James’ attempt at humor but instead continues in his point. “Since your return from the Skyfall operation, which was over a year ago I might add, you have not taken one day of leave, no holiday of which I'm aware. You haven’t rested the requisite 48 hour period between mission and report.”
James takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly.
“You are not a young man,” M says plainly. “Everyone, even James Bond, needs time to let wounds heal, both physical and mental. Pushing yourself is going to get you or someone else killed eventually.”
“So not another mission then?” James asks and moves to stand.

Or, James Bond is forced to take a few days off, runs into Q at a kebab shop, starts playing World of Warcraft, and takes a trip to Witney to meet Q's family (for reasons of national security, of course).

We need someone who will unite us all, and I cannot settle for less. I’ll send riders out at first light chasing rumours and follow up any promising leads we have myself.”
He looked so beautiful when he said it, every inch the king, with the sunlight through the windows turning him gold. His voice had taken on that richness that sometimes infused Arthur’s words – that for the good of the kingdom voice, that let it be so voice, the voice that Merlin had come to understand meant another brick laid on the road to Albion.
Unfortunately, that voice had been co-opted for a fucking farce."

Blinking, Shen Qingqiu uses his forearms to hold himself up. He looks down at the soft thing he had been resting on.
And stares into the blurry face of a Heavenly Demon.
Shen Qingqiu throws himself backwards, landing with a thud next to the strangely soft pillow upon which the entire, nearly naked body of the demon is illustrated. Why would someone do that? Why would someone own that?
Is this a nightmare?!
Or: Shen Jiu transmigrates into the body of Shen Yuan. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
