But as his gaze flits from the ground to the soaring Walls, the hushed sensations morph into screams, and not a single ounce of shame is behind these voices. He leans into them, feels them roaring through his entire being. Being here isn’t enough. Even though the Walls are there to surround them for their entire lives, for people to eat and sleep and survive… this just makes them like—

At least enough for him to see a bright future with the idiot that proposes with a goddamn paper ring.
