“yeah, but you’re my dad,” he says, running his hand underneath chan’s shirt, dipping into his sweats, combing his nails through the coarse hair he finds there, trailing down; he keeps it chaste enough, even though he can nearly taste chan’s scent from how much he likes it, honey rich and bright citrus cutting through, “i kind of have to like you.”

Summary
The only issue, really, and it's a tiny, tiny thing, is the slow torture of playing house with the person you're in love with when they don't feel the same.
Seungmin has plans: Finish university with a first class degree. Enrol in a Master's course. Worm his way into the music industry, one way or another. Knock Minho and Jisung's heads together until they realise they're in love or are so brain damaged it no longer matters. Keep all his friends in one place.
Figure out what to do about the fact he's been in love with his best friend/roommate for four years and isn't sure he'll ever stop.

In a split whisper of the ocean, he hears the water’s lamentations. Mother always sings that there are sorrows that the blue water carries and that occasionally, it sings of these laments. Humans are never, ever, permitted to listen to these songs, for they could kill a man with their sadness.
Well. He’s not one for dying, but the look on the young master’s face calls upon a thought that details a man with many losses, innumerable, that he can sympathise with the ocean’s losses.
“Just,” Hyunjin’s eyes lose their focus, “somewhere.”
