    Summary

Peri King never wanted to be special. Yet here she stood, torn between George Weasley's easy laughter and Draco Malfoy's complicated intensity, while death hung in the shadows. Her stepfather's bloodline connected her to Merlin himself, a heritage she neither asked for nor desired. Friends rallied around her, but nightmares still came. When the Goblet of Fire spat out her name, she knew danger was near. Now she faced dragons and merfolk while dodging Voldemort's servants, who whispered that her blood might be the key to their master's plans. Each morning brought impossible choices: which secrets to keep, which trusts to break, and whether loving someone was worth putting them in danger. The weight of her decisions pressed against her; one wrong move, and people would die. Not just any people. The ones she loved.

    Summary

"Remember, Ley, you're the destitute seventh daughter of a lunatic, and I'm Lucius Malfoy."

Power, reputation, pride and ambition, are the watchwords of the old Wizarding families, where daughters and sons are expected to live by very different moral codes.

An old rivalry has spelt dishonour for Sevtima Fawley, while the man who ruined her revels in his victory. Escaping the past, she seeks comfort and love with her former professor, Severus Snape, but he is struggling with his own regrets and secrets.

Pansy Parkinson has been schooled from birth in what is expected of a pureblood girl, and she's determined to marry the boy she's pined for since the first day of Hogwarts, even if it means swallowing her pride in the face of his cold treatment.

Finding a seemingly innocuous piece of jewellery, Draco Malfoy discovers uncomfortable truths about his father's past and present behaviour, which sets off a chain of events with dangerous consequences for all involved.

    Summary

"The best part of my life was when I was allowed to care about you. No one is going to take that from me again."

Voldemort's first reign of terror left Estelle Vaile orphaned. The secrets of her ancient bloodline left her all alone in the world. Fortunately, her godmother, Narcissa Malfoy, and her uncle, Jasper Greengrass, took her in and raised her alongside their children. When they were school girls, Cordelia Vaile (née Greengrass) and Narcissa Malfoy always said their children's bond would be written in the stars like their namesakes. If only they knew how tragically correct their daydream was.

    Summary

Everything was gone. One ship and 43 men left. Odysseus was helpless and everything was crashing down on him. There was no windbag to save them, Athena's wisdom wasn't coming to their aid, and Odysseus couldn't use any cunning strategy. This was it. Poseidon had won. But when he said ruthlessness is mercy, he chose a different punishment for the mortal to suffer. Someone like him doesn't deserve the punishment to die. No, that's too easy and quick and it's technically mercy to do so. But a mental sentence, that's ruthless, isn't it?

(Or Odysseus was turned into a fish because Poseidon chose a different punishment)
