Summary
Mo Ran tries to win over the new librarian at his university through his cooking. It goes well, up until someone else takes a page out of his book and starts to bring Chu Wanning food too.
Much to Mo Ran’s satisfaction, Chu Wanning starts with his food first. Mo Ran leans back in his chair and folds his arms over his chest, watching as Chu Wanning delicately vacuums the entire thermos worth of noodles.
“Was it good?” Mo Ran asks and Chu Wanning nods. The smallest smile tugs at the corner of his lips and Mo Ran almost sends himself over the moon when Chu Wanning says, “You’re a talented cook.”
The mood is quickly punctured by Chu Wanning pushing the cursed dish towards Mo Ran mere moments later.
“Have some,” he says, nodding towards Mo Ran's direct competition. “They’re not terrible.”
Mo Ran can’t help it. He looks at the container like it’s his mortal enemy.

Summary
The truth of the matter is, Kaveh has no idea how to read Alhaitham. He prides himself on being an expert at understanding people, his empathetic heart lending him the capacity to relate deeply with those around him (oftentimes to his detriment). But with Alhaitham, there is nothing for him to read; no clues from his cool expression for him to grasp. The man appears stoic all the time even during their petty bickering.
Honestly, when was the last time Kaveh has seen the man do anything except smirk or frown? Does Alhaitham feel happiness? Has he ever seen the man laugh?
Kaveh's mind is drawing a blank on the latter and it...bothers him deeply.

“So quick to run away from me, Chu-laoshi,” Mo Ran says, voice gently teasing as Chu Wanning refuses to make eye contact with him. “After you came all the way from…”
He trails off, waiting for Chu Wanning to let him know, but he sees the map open on Chu Wanning’s phone and grins wider. “You want directions?”
Chu Wanning clears his throat, and shakes his head. He should say something— instead, he stays silent as he looks down at his phone and punches in the hotel name again.
Happily, his phone tells him to try again when he has signal.

Much to Thoma’s horror, the cat affectionately bumps Ayato’s palm and then settles in the man’s lap. The cat curls up in a ball and the beast has the audacity to begin to purr. Thoma had no idea the cretin could make such a warm sound.
“Ah, the meanest, you’re right,” Ayato murmurs, lips teasingly twitching up into a smirk. His hand drops down again and roams along the back of the cat, eliciting a louder purr. “Truly a fiend.”
In which Thoma takes care of stray cats and one certain stray decides to return Thoma's kindness by causing havoc on the Estate and befriending Ayato. Or, a cat finally forces them to face their feelings for each other.
