Summary
My (23M) boss (28M) has a workplace nemesis (mid to late 20s?M) who is, in a lot of ways, an asshole. Like, my boss is definitely in the right on any conflict between them. Even when the asshole isn’t actively causing problems, he’s a constant nuisance and a thorn in my boss’ side. I’m loyal to my boss (let’s call him Jake), and I also have to help clean up the mess the asshole (we’ll call him Sebastian) leaves in his wake. So, obviously, Sebastian is pretty high on my shit list.
The only issue is that Sebastian keeps… helping me?

Summary
Vale, youngest Fae Prince of the Night Court, has been captured and taken prisoner by the King of the Summer Court. Both Courts have been at war with each other since the very beginning of their people's history and there is no doubt in Vale's mind that he is about to be publicly executed as punishment for past transgressions.
But it doesn't happen. Instead, he finds himself as a War Prize to the King himself, the King who seems to covet Vale to the point of obsession.

mmmm i love "why are you doing this to me" x "i've had my eye on you for years and i want to keep you safe by me (for whatever twisted reasons there are. but there IS also genuine affection)" i love how this played out and i can imagine vale slowly but surely coming around and genuinely liking farren. OH OH possessiveness/dressing in someone's colors is also a trope that gets me every time i eat that up. i also love when someone (vale) has an enormously different idea of what's happening than literally everyone else around him. like vale thinks farren is trying to humiliate him and only thinks of him as a war prize (which is an entirely understandable thought), meanwhile the dude's been obsessed since day one, puts him in ROYAL COLORS immediately, with his personal mark on his forehead, like okay man the whole court's thinking something and it's not that the king has won himself a lovely war prize. well, it's not the ONLY thing they're thinking.
