Luke speaks softly, his voice tinting with an uncontrollable excitement, and its then that Michael remembers Christmas being Luke’s favourite holiday season. Michael’s smile widens, and tilting his head, he presses a linger kiss to Luke’s cheek, muttering in reply.
“Merry Christmas, Luke.”in which Michael wants to stay in bed for the whole of Christmas, but Luke has something else planned.

There are things that always happen, no matter how hard he tries: El doesn’t arrive in time. Eddie dies. Max is put in a coma.
Steve fails. They lose.
“Steve, how many loops have you been through?”
His head is nodding, and his eyes are watery, and Eddie has approached him like a spooked animal.
“I lost count.”
