What if Chit Sang knew what Zuko did, knew what the Prince had stood up for, and thanked him? And what if that lead to more secrets coming to light, unable to stay covered when the sun choose to shine down upon it?
Aka, my take on how the Chit Sang would reveal what Zuko stood for to the Gaang + Hakoda, and how it would be seen. I did this all while listening to "Things We Lost In The Fire" by Bastille on repeat. (I had to, at some point, make an obligatory Gaang finds out about the scar with added spice!)

After noticing Xiao had been coming back hurt, and severely injured, from missions - Zhongli decided to that Xiao needed someone who could help, could make him happier. With the scheming Bard - Venti - Zhongli was able to get Xiao to go on a mission, where Venti had convinced someone else to be. All they could do now was hope the wind pushed them towards each other.

Sitting up ever so slightly, Aether picks up one of the numerous dandelions surrounding him like an ocean; bringing it closer to his close, he examines it before falling back to hold it to his chest. Aether stayed there, holding the dandelion in their hand as they thought of what to do.
‘What should I wish for?’ Aether wondered, eyes glancing back towards the sky where the cloud once was.
Smiling, Aether knew what to wish for. He had longed to wish for this, to wish for this one person to come back and talk, sing, to them.

In the end that’s what’s changed the most: Jean can want things now, not as much as his heart would like to, but just enough to expect something honest from Kevin.
Jean brushes his fingers over the ridiculous print of a beret on his brand new sheets and asks, "Is there even a difference in your vocabulary between those two?"

Summary
Just like the many amazing Slytherin Harry Potter fics, this is my take on what would happen if Harry Potter were just a little bit smarter, a little bit crueler, and acted a little bit more like the Slytherin we knew he could be.
Takes inspiration from too many stories to count, but includes tropes like Slytherin Harry, awesome goblins, Dumbledore bashing, and Harry destroying any machinations laid out for him simply by existing and giving things a second thought. He refuses to be anybody's puppet.
After Harry is introduced to the wizarding world, some red flags are raised and questions left unanswered, so he decides to ditch his babysitter and return to Diagon Alley unsupervised. Harry returns to the bank and finds that Dumbledore has been manipulating everything from behind the scenes. Eager to leave the Dursleys behind, Hadrian - he learned his name was - will do whatever it takes to get out from under Dumbledore's thumb, even if it means walking a darker path than expected of the Wizarding world's Savior.
We follow Hadrian on his journey as he explores the wixen world, makes new friends, makes new enemies, and makes plans to ensure that he is never used as a pawn again.
