Summary
Sometimes, moths are ripped from their cocoons before they can emerge on their own. And sometimes they longer too close to a flame. Either way they meet the same fate.
A certain inchling turned (mostly) human was the same way, left with blurry memories of his ripped away past. It comes at him in flickering, harsh waves. All he remembers is hopping dimensions looking for Phil. Sometimes his memories come in random spouts of deja vu or worst of all, fading moments as he loses himself entirely.

Now he was healthy and comfortable living under his false identity of Ryan Nerro, a successful Owlet Trainer and Potioneer for most of wizarding Europe. Even if he was a widower with twin children.

“What are you talking about?” She says, a bit harshly, but he’s being rude! She’s allowed to be harsh.
“Ros I was alone” he intones, leaning further on his decent leg. “You just left me in the middle of a fight and I got hurt. I had to fight Drone alone”

The snails, mischevious as they are, are easy to wave off. The Keepers, enshrouded in their mysterious power, are easy to yell at and make fun of.The moon, purple and glowing and watching above them, is easy to ignore.
Alone, now, he stares upwards, focused on the slim line of a pupil trained on him in turn.
