Summary
The wolf school is the last school of witchers to create a formal bond with a region of the world, not particularly caring to play those games, but they also needed to survive. Vesemir arranges a mating contract between Geralt and Julian Pankratz of Lettenhove.
Geralt knows that as the alpha of their pack he has to do this, but he is terrified of the marriage, worried about the omega who is going to be saddled with the butcher, the monster the continent fears.
He dreads the wedding, and all his fears feel like they are coming true when he meets this Julian who is completely detached and cold. But not all is as it seems and when they arrive home at Kaer Morhen for winter, everything changes.
And sometimes when we face our worst fears, we get instead our sweetest dreams.

Summary
Soulflowers are the beauty in pain, the soulmark left from a scar on your soulmate. Its a gift from the spirits and its supposedly meant to pair you with your perfect half. Sokka's calling bullshit though and Zuko would be inclined to agree. Soulmates aren't supposed to be fighting on opposite sides of a war and really shouldn't try to kill each others' friends. Well, Sokka's friends. Zuko is too awkward and honor-driven to actually have any.

Soulmates are chosen by the spirits and can hear each other’s thoughts. Sokka thinks it’s cheesy and dumb. Zuko thinks it’s poetic justice that he doesn’t have one because he doesn’t deserve it. Cruel irony is finding out that the prince of the Fire Nation (and the person currently hunting you) is your soulmate.
(Set during and after the events of ATLA, and during some of the events of the comics that follow. This was an excuse to write a slow-burn where Sokka and Zuko are soulmates)

After a short eternity, Geralt finally stumbles out of the ruins - hurt but alive - and Jaskier's eyes fill with grateful tears.
The witcher has a tired but smug-looking Yennefer on his arm, snuggled into his side and supporting him as much as he supports her. She's closer than Jaskier ever got, and they have the look of sudden, invincible, fated love about them. Jaskier's treacherous mind begins composing their ballad even as his bruised little heart shrivels up inside his chest and dies a quiet, bittersweet death.
Next to him, Chireadan sees it too and makes a small noise, sounding just as devastated as Jaskier feels.
