Loki always has a plan, and some idiot always ruins it. In the case of one Tony Stark, that might not be such a bad thing. Also, the Earth is melting and there's something wrong with the coffee.
On indefinite HIATUS. But the plot is sort of resolved. Benefits from obsessive re-watching of Iron Man, Thor, and Avengers.

Summary
The day after the invasion Tony wakes up and his tower is intact again; everything is exactly the way it was before this whole mess went down. It doesn’t take him long to catch up but he can’t figure out why he’s in a time loop – so he does what anyone would: fuck things up while trying to find a way to fix this. Somewhere along the way, his priorities change and suddenly he finds himself involved neck-deep in Norse family drama, along with some other stuff.

Summary
Escaping Asgard and the horrors dealt there is no easy task, and doing so comes at a price. Loki falls to Earth broken and blinded, rendered helpless in a city he can neither see nor begin to understand with enemies on all sides.
Worse than that is a far greater emptiness in his veins—a missing piece of him that should have been impossible to take, yet was rent from his body anyway—and something cardice-cold lurking in the darkest corners of his mind.

Building Jaegers is Tony Stark's wet dream come to life. He can drink, screw around, and avoid sleeping as much as he wants, so long as he keeps the Jaeger fleet running, and he never has to explain why he's borderline destroying himself.
When they meet, it's lust at first sight - for Tony. For Loki, it's hope and safety and friendship and everything else he can't let himself have.

Summary
When Bylestir suggested that the King ought to take a pet to keep him from getting too bored, he thought Loki might take a lover or an actual pet (polar bears were cute), not a strange Midgardian man with a light shining from his chest who would show no respect and try to set the palace ablaze twice. On the other hand, the King did seem less bored.
(Or how Loki became king of Jotunheim, grew predictably bored and kidnapped Tony Stark to keep him company, and how Tony was not amused, tried to stay alive, and things worked out marginally better than you would expect.)
