Summary
Traveling alone and in the dark, Rudo gets lost in the forest. Unbeknownst to him, he wanders into a shrine guarded by a fox spirit.
After said spirit guides him home through the fog, Rudo decides to return and bring him a gift as thanks. He's not used to people helping him. And as it turns out, Zanka's not used to people thanking him. Thus begins a routine of long walks in the woods with the intention of visiting a fox spirit. The following is a story of the next nine months.

The contrast of his dark hair and tanned skin. The swell of his calf, too, Zoro finds distracting. The artful leanness of his captain.
In those moments Zoro’s knees go weak. He nearly drops his swords, he’s so overcome with it.
Beautiful, he thinks, and he’s got no clue if it’s him or his alpha thinking it. Beautiful. We'd be so good to you.

If Sabo had been stabbed with sea stone, it would have hurt less. If he had burned with the Grey Terminal, or drowned at sea in front of the Celestial Dragons, it would have hurt less than this.
He’s on his feet before he’s aware of moving, seat tipping over and rolling away behind him. He can feel the steam start to lift off his super-heated skin as Ace’s fire inside him reacts to the way his heart is racing.
“Don’t say that,” he says, too loud, almost a shout.

Hobbits were created from earth and plant. They were the children of Aule and Yavanna, made in celebration of their bonding. They knew the earthen tongue. Plant and earth come to their aid.
What would the journey to Erebor be like with a female Bilbo who knew a little about surviving?

Basically me combining my desire to make Hobbits their own race (which means they get a gift of their own from Eru since all of his children get something cool), having a female Bilbo while making what happens sort of realistic as Gandalf is apparently known to take a lad or Lass of into the blue for an adventure, and making hobbits actually have a culture the reflects their past nomadic life.
