Summary

Working his way up as a lawyer seemed at first like an attempt to reclaim his past life, but now that too is seeming more like a charade and distraction from what he actually wants. But when Raphael makes a frightening re-appearance with an unexpected plea for Astarion's help - an opportunity to claim what he needs presents itself. But how far is he willing to go to take it?
