Absolutely fucking best read of all time I cannot make this up. Great characterization of all people here, makes me fucking insane about how much this piece of literature makes me shatter, my exact envision on Bro's character and his issues, and its terrifyingly accurate.

Diluc was not good.

And because he could never be her, the barren land begging for Crepus’s rain would always remain just that.

Kaeya could not handle Diluc’s rejection - especially so when he almost lost his arm from the burning claymore that his former brother ran through him. The only reason he lives is the cryo vision that suddenly appeared between them. Even then, Kaeya doesn’t feel alive anymore. The one person he trusted to honor their promise to never leave each other abandoned him. He ends it.
Burdened by guilt from Kaeya taking the leap, Diluc forces himself to atone by the only way he can: using his delusion to burn the threats to Mondstadt.
In the end, anything burnt to ashes returns to the earth as it's meant to be.
