Summary
The moment the object hit the ground, it erupted –a blinding detonation of pure white light that swallowed the entire rooftop. No sound. No heat. Just light. So bright it seared through his closed eyelids, through his hands thrown up to shield his face, through every attempt his body made to protect itself.
Damian stumbled backward, disoriented, his vision bleached into nothing. He blinked rapidly, but the world refused to come back into focus. For a terrifying few seconds, he was completely blind.
When his vision finally returned - patchy and blurred at the edges - the rooftop was empty.

Summary
Clearly, Riddle hasn't attended Night Raven College for long enough.
Or perhaps his card soldiers — by which he means Ace, mostly — are just so dedicated to making his life worse that it exceeds probability. Either way, the situation gets worse. Nothing spreads out of Heartslabyul, but somehow Cater and Trey learn about the library issue. Riddle can't even blame Ace and Deuce for that.

Bruce paused. “…Did your hood just move?”
“No.”
The bulge shifted again. This time, a small black nose poked out from behind Damian’s cape. Beady eyes blinked up at Bruce, followed by whiskers twitching curiously. Then came the tell-tale little chittering sound.
Bruce pinched the bridge of his nose. “…Is that a raccoon?”
Damian drew himself up, indignant. “His name is Sir Thomas Bandit the Third.”
