“Nothing,” Buck says, and actually means it. He presses his face to Eddie’s sternum, feels his pulse against his skin, and breathes. “Nothing. I just—I had a dream that you were mad at me.”

“What have we got Cap?” Hen asked, as they piled into the truck the alarm blaring behind them.
“Two teenagers caught in a building collapse.” Bobby recited dutifully into the mics as the truck trundled out of the bay, it’s own lights and sirens starting up as they took off towards the scene “Apparently they were on the roof of that condemned apartment building on Emmitt Junction and it gave out on them. One has a possible rib fracture, and the other has no injuries, both are awake and alert.”
“Do these two teenagers have names?”
“Buck and Eddie.”
“What kind of a name is Buck?” Chimney asked, nose wrinkled.
“What kind of a name is Chimney?” Hen shot back, turning to look at Bobby “what were they even doing on the roof of that building? it’s been red tagged for years after a fire took it out.”
Bobby made a face, like he wasn’t sure if he could really believe the words out of his mouth as he said, “According to dispatch, homework.”

Eddie meets Buck at a bar and when they hit it off, he takes Buck home. They're already halfway to undressed and Eddie’s pulling out his wallet in a rush, fumbling for a condom when Buck says, “You can just leave the money on the dresser, I’ll get it later.”
Eddie stops in his tracks, blinking stupidly at him. “What?”
Buck stutters through an answer with this adorable little confused head cock before he finally gets out, “I-I’m a…a rent boy. Sorry, I…I thought I made it obvious.”

He's heard a lot of people say they don't know exactly when their problem started.
They say it was a lot of things- a lot of situations and moments and thoughts that somehow came together, that grew little by little, that ended up exploding before they could realize they had a problem.
