Summary
Jihyun comes around to visit without any sort of schedule. He’ll visit twice within the week, before staying away for months and returning again. Each time, he looks as though he’s expecting some sort of punishment for his absence, apologising profusely and excusing himself early – as though everyone present would be better without him. He seems to be stuck in the space in-between; some crevasse between understanding that those around him are just worried but afraid his mere presence is a hindrance.

Suguru is fairly certain this argument was originally about the fall of Rome. As to why Gojo’s bringing up Marx, he has no clue; Gojo’s certainly not stupid enough to think whatever bullshit he’s currently spouting is relevant to their conversation. Suguru can only imagine it’s part of some sort of master scheme designed to annoy him enough to eventually drop out and ensure Gojo’s rank as number one in the class.

He must have touched Hansen’s arm, his neck, something because one second Connor’s living in a monochrome world and the next it explodes. There’s colour everywhere and the once familiar, bland school hallway is now unrecognisable and there, down at his feet, sits Hansen and Connor can clearly see how the skin on his face is so much paler than that of his arm and that his terrified eyes are almost the same colour as the shirt he’s wearing and it’s all too fucking much.
