He tries to ignore it for as long as he can, eyes shut tight in defiance of his own silly impulses. He can feel John’s back against his own, can feel his warmth radiating through both of their t-shirts, and he’s almost certain that Adam is tucked in John’s arms like he is every night. But it’s that ‘almost’ that makes his pulse pound in his throat and eventually give in.
He just… has to be sure.

Summary
Kaz loved to play with Ocelot’s boundaries. It was a risky game, pushing them further, testing their breaking point. It wasn’t just that he would have soon found himself on the other side, but that Ocelot’s consideration towards him was even weaker than the one he had towards Ocelot: he could have ruffled his feathers a little, made him uncomfortable— maybe even go as far as to humiliate him; but when Ocelot was in control, if Kaz got him too worked up, if he gave him the impression that everything was fair game — well, then Kaz could have easily ended up in the infirmary.

Summary
Ocelot seemed to take some time to put his words in the right order before he spoke, and when he did, it was very careful and slow as if he didn't want to offend Kaz:
“Did you, possibly, think that it would be easier to have… someone else…” he didn't need to finish his sentence.
“I don't need you to play nurse with me,” Kaz bristled almost immediately, sobering up.

The medical team are only trying to look out for Kaz when they give him a hand-held vibrator. According to Ocelot, it helps reduce muscle atrophy, and will help kick some of the soreness out of his infernal leg. Kaz isn't convinced, he knows what these tools get used for, and he wants no part in it.
That is, until he has a particularly bad bout of phantom limb pain in the middle of the night...________________________

Miller, predictably, rolls his eyes. Though he skitters a good inch backward on the bed, when Ocelot moves to sit on its end. A total, perfect contradiction.
That endless fight instinct of his entices him. It’s constant war with his needy desire for more stirs a flame in Ocelot he’s content to poke at.
