With all the solemnity a six year old boy could muster, Katsuki said outright, “Deku, you’re dumb and ugly. Marry me.”
Izuku burst out laughing, the sound bright and sweet like birdsong. He laughed so hard that Katsuki scowled and punched his arm, which only made him giggle harder as he tumbled back into the grass. Izuku laughed because he was confused too. Marriage, to him, was something meant for grown-ups and kings and queens, for nobles in stiff collars who looked like they’d eaten a bite of moldy bread and were forced to swallow.
He thought marriage was a forever kind of promise, but in his heart, he knew they had already made that vow.

“What does it look like?” The green-haired pain-in-his-ass bit back, “I’m saving you from being killed!”
Katsuki scoffed. He didn’t need to be saved, certainly not by some bright-eyed idiot. He had things handled on his own. Without standing, the blond lifted his gauntlet towards the two remaining enemies barreling their way. Heat radiated from his palm, building, until he released a huge explosion that spiraled through the air, striking both creatures in the chest and killing them instantly. Their bodies dropped to the ground, exploding into particles that turned into XP. The blond turned towards the wide-eyed player.
“I don’t need help, nerd. You need mine.”
Katsuki approached him, a scowl on his face. “So here’s some advice–stop trying to be a hero.”

A fic heavily influenced by Sword Art Online, where the main characters end up stuck in a virtual world where if they die in the game, they die in real life. Follow as Bakugo loses his mind over a green-haired stranger’s self-sacrificial personality, as they both grapple with the horrors of their new reality.

"Hey," the guy finally says, quieter. His voice is as coarse as his hands. Something about it sends shivers down Izuku's nerves. "It's your birthday. Why're you spending it all alone in this shitty ass bar?"
Izuku squeezes the man's arm harder, nails practically cracking through his skin. He whispers, "because I'm a total loser who's going to die alone."
The pretty stranger guzzles down his own drink before sliding the empty glass back to the bartender. "Fine. Come with me," he orders without an ounce of hesitation.
"Okay." The stranger stands up and heads for the door. Izuku follows.

Izuku is a total romantic. The problem is, every relationship he’s been in has left Izuku utterly heartbroken. When these break ups threaten Izuku’s mental health, productivity, and impulsivity on a grander scale, his best friend/therapist Ochako instills a twelve month heart lockdown, in which Izuku doesn’t date anyone for a whole year.
The goal is to let Izuku focus on his own worth instead of the love from others. It starts off perfectly fine - that is, until Izuku has a one-night-stand with Katsuki, his apartment building neighbor.

“Oi, I’m - who do you think you are?!”
