i just don’t even know what to say. i haven’t dedicated myself to a long-form fanfic like this in a while. i started it, and loved the first 20k words, but wasn’t sure if i should continue due to the fact that i had an inordinate amount left to go. and then i read a little more and the choice was taken out of my hands. this fic ran me dry. i’ve been reading quick one-shots and simple plots for so long—the complexity of this fic was a shock to my system, ice water on my face. it was so utterly good. i marvel once again at the works of art we humans are able to produce. the characterizations in this fic were pure gold. so amazing and accurate and understandable. the cherry on top was the fact that the author is still publishing works till this day. what hope you have given me. what appreciation you have bestowed upon me. what /hurt/ i have felt. i ached for young Harry. i felt and felt and felt some more. i feel looney with awe. thank you.

The first two nights, Harry sleeps like the dead— or, well, maybe that's not the best comparison, given the number of inferi attacks reported lately.
He sleeps like a log. Like a dead log. An un-re-animated dead log. From an everyday, inanimate, non-whomping tree.
After that, Harry wakes up screaming more nights than not, and he even cries on the bad ones, which makes James cry too. In this regard, James reckons that his first week of parenting a full-grown teenage adult bears an awful lot of resemblance to parenting a newborn baby. He feels both blessed and terrifyingly out of his depth.

3/3 so far. the first part of this series was literally everything i've wanted out of a hp time-travel fic and i'm so happy i found it. the dynamics were great and the banter was hilarious & the feels were felt! eagerly awaiting an update to this part, which is also good.

ugh. love this fic so much (from what i've read so far - first 7 chapters). its very dark & izuku is very messed up but the writing is hilarious and i love the premise. i really like suffering main characters, its become a bit of a trend.. anyway. i want to finish this (and i will!) its just hard for me to commit to catching up on fics that haven't been updated in a few years. that's okay tho. still love it.

2/20. so this fic. this whole *series*. my favorite hall of fame-er. i love the first part of this series to death and beyond. its one of the best blends of humor and seriousness i've ever read. if i could pick one fanfic to read for the rest of my life, it would be this one. now this might look like some supreme over-praising, but its genuinely that good. i've read it three times now? and i might be due for a fourth. now, i haven't gotten far into the sequel at all, but that's mainly because i don't have much time to delve into a 200k word fanfic, and also because i'm waiting until i rewatch naruto. regardless, best fic ever.

He forces back memories of that one, and continues to shadow the herd whenever it ventures out. He makes a habit of waiting in the small grouping of trees near the gate so as not to miss one of their outings. Eventually he learns to distinguish the small one from the others even before it takes to the air, and he feels proud of this accomplishment.
Months later, only hours after the humans had returned behind their walls, everything changes.
