Saiki might not have his powers, but he’s not dumb, and he’s not blind. There are many things he’s uncertain of in this new powerless world; there’s many things that make him anxious because of this newfound uncertainty, but if he’s sure of one thing, it’s the way Kuboyasu loves Kaidou.

"Talking about heart attacks, Kuboyasu looks like he's wearing one with his pacing, nailbiting, hair ripping and- Is he yelling at the sky? Oh, he's yelling in his thoughts. At least he hasn't started destroying property yet. Saiki doesn't think his neighbors would be too pleased about-

Saiki needs to stop this.
'Aren.' On the bright side, Saiki got his attention. On the embarrassing one, that made Kuboyasu dead stop and stare at him, mouth slightly parted open where before a nail was being bitten, which was definitely an unbecoming look on him. 'They couldn't care less.' "
Telling his parents about them isn't exactly something he wants to cross off his bucket list, but Aren insists and Kusuo relented.
On the way, he realizes some things he could work on in their relationship.

Will forced himself to stop thinking. The Upside Down was closed for good. Eleven had close the gate last year and saved them all. His mother, Jonathan and Nancy had taken the Mind Flayer out of him. There was nothing more connecting him to that place. He was clean. Purged. And those stupid chills he got from time to time in the back of his neck were just his brain messing up with him. It was him not being able to move on from what happened in the past. It was him not being able to grow the fuck up already.
Dustin clapped his hands, the sound echoing in the calm night, making Will snapped out of his thoughts. “We can become heroes, Will. Honest to God American heroes. Like freaking Red dawn or something.”

"Chance bit the inside of his lip. Truthfully, part of him believed Jason’s Hellfire theory was a desperate story fueled by the grief of losing Chrissy, but the more Chance watched Hawkins fall apart, literally, the more he felt his old logic snap into place. Maybe Jason had been right, the town had a wound and something crawled out of it, something that hid in plain sight. Chance didn’t believe in revenge, the Bible says justice belonged to God or the law. But, if there really was an evil in this town, wouldn’t it be just as evil to do nothing about it? To let it happen?"
OR
After losing two of his friends in the Hawkins “earthquake,” Chance joins a church grief group that believes Will Byers is the vessel for Satan. To prove them wrong, Chance agrees to befriend Will, but the closer he gets, the more the lines between faith, fear, obsession and love start to blur.
