Summary
Tucked in an alley between the currency exchange booth and a planetary goods stall, a glistening costume shifts in a way that captures the attention of people from all around the station. The day that Izuku notices the dancer being hidden from the security of the station is also the day that he makes an attempt to talk to the young man with pain etched on his face even as his arms and hips sway in perfect rhythm to the drum’s beat.
It takes a few attempts before the dancer pays him any mind, but Izuku quickly learns that there’s something terribly wrong with the way he’s being treated, and it becomes Izuku’s focus to free him from his rigorous practices and performances.

Soap paused, picking up the pen. He looked over his list. Three columns, “yes”, “no”, and “maybe”. He pulled the paper close. Hesitating, he underlined a single item, then crossed out the rest of them one by one. When he finished, he looked back at Ghost, as if daring him to say something about it. When Ghost didn’t, Soap pushed the paper over, crossing his arms over his chest.
Underlined was “kneeling” under “yes”, the only thing left on the page. It didn’t matter what the other “yes” items had been, they were very clearly in the “no” column now.
Ghost forced himself not to feel frustrated, had to admit to himself that Soap might be the most challenging sub he had ever had assigned into one of his units.

“Don’t be ridiculous,” a frown pulls at Albedo’s mouth; one of faint annoyance and painful internal struggle. “Anyone in their right mind would turn down such an offer. He doesn’t even know me.”
“Well, I don’t know how to tell you this, buddy,” not your buddy, Albedo echoes, because while he’s familiar with Kaeya Alberich, he barely tolerates the man at times, “but if you ever find it in yourself to get your adorable button nose out of that sketchbook and point it towards the table over there, you might find that you’ve sorely miscalculated.”
True to his word, the golden-haired boy is looking their way.
Albedo prides himself for his ability to stay aloof; however, it might take a single accidental meeting to permanently alter that course of thought.
