To me, you were the first person who wanted to know me, save for, perhaps, Sakusa. You made me feel …” He seems to struggle with his words for a moment, before he dips his head a little. Satori marvels at the clear sign of embarrassment. “You made me feel less weird. I never had many friends, and I still don’t. You were my first best friend.”
Suffice to say, Satori is speechless.

They’ve done the whole airport reunion thing enough times that Asahi has the routine of it down. Nishinoya walks fast enough that he gets dirty looks from security. Asahi slings his bag over his shoulders to free his hands. Nishinoya practically leaps into his arms once he’s close enough, dropping his backpack on the ground between their feet.
“Hey,” Asahi says, muffled into Nishinoya’s hair, just loud enough for him to hear.
“Hi,” Nishinoya says. He squeezes his arms tighter where they’re wrapped around Asahi’s middle and buries his face in his neck. “I missed you.”

---and then his jaw snaps shut. There’s an awkward moment where neither of them seem to breathe. Stephen rolls over and slips off Wakatoshi’s chest with a garbled meow.
Then Satori’s face contorts into something frightening, but Wakatoshi only sees it for a moment before he disappears back over the couch.
“What the actual FUCK, Wakatoshi, what the HELL was that?!”
