“I just want to make sure I have this right,” Trent says, taking a moment to form the clarifying question in his head before he asks it. “If I had told you that I had feelings for you before you left London, it may have prompted you to realize you’re bisexual at that time, as opposed to fairly recently, and also to realize that you…felt attracted to me–” He barely avoids tripping over those words, they sound so absurd to his ears. “–and that would have made it more challenging for you to follow through with your decision to return to Kansas.”
Ted’s mouth quirks up into a small flash of a smile.
“You got a question in there, Trent?” he asks. Trent takes a breath. Fucking hell. Does he?
“Yeah…” he draws out. He swallows. He trains his eyes on Ted’s, no lower, not even a fleeting glance. He tilts his head. “Can I kiss you?”
Or, the AFC Richmond Family (complete with Ted and Henry Lasso) goes on holiday to Disney World, Trent and Ted confess some (but not all, at first, but eventually!) feelings to one another, and a considerable amount of hotel sex is had. Hip hip hooray for a Disney vacation!

“Well I was wondering-” Trent begins - only that, of course, is when the sky all but cracks open, and rain starts absolutely pouring down.
Ted’s soaked in moments, water dripping down the back of his neck, and he shivers even while he’s still processing the shock.
“Shit,” Trent says out loud, ducking his head and glaring up at the clouds. “Can I give you a lift?” he calls out over the sounds of the rain hitting the pavement.

Ted and Trent get caught in the rain, and Ted finally takes him up on his offer of a ride home. Maybe this will finally give them a chance to talk - or maybe they could also stand to do a little less talking, too.

Stede has never had a friend before, not one like Ed. He’s so easy to talk to, and Stede’s usual worries about saying or doing the wrong thing all fade away. It’s not that he stops saying or doing the wrong thing, but Ed just corrects him or laughs with him rather at him.
His chest warms whenever Ed laughs, his eyes crinkling at whatever Stede’s said or done. He wants Ed to smile all the time. From what he’s heard from Fang and Ivan, Ed hasn’t done a lot of smiling as Blackbeard. Stede’s determined to make him laugh more, because that’s what friends do.

He was sitting up on what had become his side of the bed, Ed preferred the side closer to the door. Stede wasn’t sure if he did it consciously, but he privately thought that Ed had chosen that side so that he could protect Stede from any potential attackers in the night. He had a book clasped in his hands and was getting right into the thick of the plot when he heard the heavy clunk of leather boots just outside the door.
