He doesn’t want to force anyone into doing anything that they don’t want to, especially with someone he cares so fiercely for. And especially Dabi. So he doesn’t mind if Dabi’s never ready to do anything with him, he’s more than happy to stick to himself and his hand for as long as Dabi wants.
That is, until Dabi had stared at him like he’d wanted to eat him and raked his gaze up and down Hawks’ body and, consequently, set Hawks’ entire being alight.

They can't. There's a life out there, Hawks, and it isn't theirs to own.”
Hawks let out a stressed chirp before he could help it, slapping a palm on his mouth a moment later. In a place like this, walls had ears, and they both knew it. At least, Hawks did. Touya liked to test his luck a lot more. To him, the HPSC training grounds were only the second scariest place in the world. He’d been around for less time than Hawks, too, so Hawks didn’t fault him for it. Touya could still remember a life before it.
But Hawks couldn’t find it in himself to try and steer Touya away from his pipe dreams. Not when he could see the glossiness of Touya's eyes even without the aid of his sharpened eyesight.
It was despair, he thought.Or: Touya is a trainee in the same Hero Program as Hawks. That is, until one day he's sent on a mission and doesn't come back.

“Oh, you know,” Hawks says lightly, mustering his most convincing smile. “Same old stuff.”

Dimitri Alexandre Blaidydd defies all his conjectures, and with each passing days his lance breaches through Claude’s most solid defence, threatening to destroy all he has tried to accomplish so far. Trust is a luxury he can’t afford at the moment but the Prince of Faerghus is sure testing his good sense.
Claude thought he was clever, that things like this would never reach him with the mission he has to accomplish. He’s about to find out he’s also a man of simple things, and that from time to time he can be very stupid.Don’t get too close, they say.
