Summary
And while Fate cloaks himself as a false identity - Cameron Campbell, he turns to Earth.
"Why do you make them all immortal and spare those two?" He points to David and Gwen, his eyes gleaming fondly.
Earth gives him a smile, "Because they both need each other, one is rather a lonely number," and leaves the other to stand in memories that have since vanished while the holders have not.
-
While ten certain campers are immortal, David and Gwen are admittedly not. The rest learn to live with the presence of time moving on.

“We snuck out, okay? We went to this party, and we were going to leave before it got too late, but… Katie was having a lot of fun, and I decided to just let her have it—“
“How much fun?” Don interrupted again.
Ash didn’t answer for a moment, the party sounds growing louder around him.
“…She’s currently dancing on the table like Kat Stratford in 10 Things I Hate About You.”
“Oh my god.” Don practically facepalmed.
OR: Katie and Ash sneak out.. and then Don has to come to the rescue

“Duke.”
The blinding, burning light was there again, still tearing into his retinas like a blender. But the voice that spoke his name now wasn’t his mother’s and it definitely wasn’t Bruce. The voice rattled him down to his bones, inspiring a kind of fear Duke only reserved for some of Gotham’s fiercest Rogues. Duke could hear the sheer power behind the voice despite there being nothing to indicate this was more than another nightmare.
“Wake up.”
Duke’s eyes snapped open.

“You think I’m gonna go into school tomorrow and tell everybody Red Robin passed out in my lap and my foster dad is an assassin?”
Tim opened one eye. “You could leave that first part out.”
Duke glared at him. “Nobody asked you.”
Tim gave him a thumbs up and closed his eye again.
“I’m not an assassin,” Jason reminded him, sounding tired.

With Batman gone, Gotham is falling apart. But Jason has bigger problems. Like this kid who just got dumped on his doorstep due to a case of mistaken identity. What was his name again? Oh yeah. Duke Thomas.
(Shut up Tim! Jason did not have Bruce's adoption disease!)

Summary
Ever since Duke presented as an omega, life has been different. Not bad, per se, just...weird. Especially with his friends. Call it the detective in him, but there's something going on with them whether they themselves know it or not. There are moments that seem to hang on information that's not repeated out loud. Like missing parts of an overheard phone call.
As he often does when met with a new variable, Duke observes, analyzes, and adjusts accordingly.
