Summary
New Year, New Me is Clint's motto for the new year in Pelican Town. This will be the year he captures the heart of the elusive Emily, who he has loved since he first moved to town. When Elliott sees Clint's efforts falling flat, he offers to take the smith under his wing in the guise of a fake relationship, but as time goes on, neither of them is sure they want to succeed in their original mission.

Her cheeks were flushed with exertion, the tie for her hair long gone so it spilt in a waterfall of damp waves over her chest. Even through the darkness, he could see that her leathers were as pristine as when they left. Impressive but unsurprising, he thought. A good assassin made killing look easy. Teia made it look like dancing— gliding close enough for the target to feel her breath, her heat, the perfect point of her smile before she sliced down to the bone.
It was a spectacle he was more than a little angry about missing.
Teia relaxed against the opposite wall and lifted her hair from her shoulders. Raindrops glistened like pearls on her neck, trailing silver into her open collar. His eyes froze on the freshly exposed skin, more specifically, the spiderweb of black veins blooming from a cut there.
"I sent Jacobus to collect the—" her words died as Viago slammed his hands either side of her head. He pressed the flat of his tongue to her throat, tasted the sweat, the cinnamon sweetness of her perfume, then— there it was— poison.
She stiffened against his chest as he sucked.

Summary
Illario enjoys exploring sex with Bellara, and that's absolutely all that's happening here. She finds a scene in at an orgy and wants to experience it, Illario is totally fine with helping out.
The system works for them, a give and take that is more enjoyable than he expected, even if he has to wait for her to finish visiting with Lucanis or Rook before she comes to see him. He knows exactly where he stands with her - too guileless and straight-forward to attempt any of the mind games he's used to from partners. It's refreshing in a way, or at least it should be, but the easiness of her smiles grates on him. He's never been one to leave well enough alone, to not ask for a little bit more no matter how many times he learns that lesson.
