What could possibly be so apocalyptic that this reunion had to happen on an ordinary Tuesday afternoon outside his clinic on a smoke break instead of during the literal upcoming global-warming induced Armageddon? Even 2020's pandemic which shut the world down for two entire years would have been a more sensible time to kill everyone.

Sasuke saw below the surface, but not quite so deeply, that Naruto’s life isn't the picture perfect portrait the village perceived it to be. Perhaps he hadn't looked further because he was afraid of what he'd find. Of putting his heart on the line again.
So he ran. Keeping his distance made it more bearable, being so close but unable to touch–
Still it killed him, slowly. Sweetly. And apparently it killed Naruto too.
The man who Sasuke hasn’t been able to label as anything other than my One and Only all but whimpers,
“Now it's all just too late.”

The hell was Caesar thinking, giving the most disaster-prone man he knows a job in a place where things are both valuable and breakable?
Joseph goddamn Joestar has been trying his limited patience for the past few weeks.

In this essay I argue that writers Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss communicate ideologies of their own in BBC Sherlock by analyzing characters and plot points in the show using theories by philosophers Marshall McLuhan, Morris Berman, and Cheryl Misak.
