"Bruce...your heart. It's racing."
Bruce gritted his teeth, refusing to acknowledge the way Clark's words vibrated against his cheekbone where it was pressed into the alien's stupidly firm pectorals. "Situation's tense," he muttered, voice muffled against Kryptonian muscle. "Stay still."
But Clark shifted, deliberately leaning forward until Bruce's nose was crushed against the seam of his suit, the heat of him overwhelming, the scent of ozone and sunlight trapped in fabric filling Bruce's lungs. His hands flexed against Clark’s sides, leather gloves creaking with the strain of not gripping hard enough to bruise.
"You’re doing this on purpose," Bruce snarled, tipping his head back to glare, only for Clark to smirk down at him, blue eyes crinkled at the corners like this was funny, like Bruce wasn't one accidental rub away from disgrace.
"Doing what?" Clark asked, all innocence, and Bruce snarled, twisting his hips back to put distance between them, only for thick vines overhead to tighten in warning, thorns grazing his neck.
(In which Bruce is stuck in a situation because of Zatanna, and Clark is having the time of his life...)

It was only then that Bruce could see Clark's eyes, his pupils were almost completely constricted. Like he had tunnel vision. But upon closer inspection, his usual azure gaze had a strange circular ring of pink on the outskirts of the irises.

Zoro wakes up in the infirmary unable to move. He can't even blink on his own, let alone speak. And so he's left to listen to his crew as they sit by his bedside, waiting for him to come back to them. He's frustrated and feels utterly useless. He can't even remember how he got injured in the first place.
But he can't be mad at himself for too long, because Sanji comes by and speaks softly to him one evening. And then another. And then another. And Zoro realizes that that *something* he's been imagining between them might be more real than he thought. Now, if only he could move long enough to tell Cook that.
