Summary
It's good. Something in him is lifting it's head and sniffing hopefully at the air, and his fingers flex against the sheets. It's good, but it's still not enough. As each second goes by Gokuraku increases his grip slowly. Too slowly. Ichi closes his eyes, trying not to tremble as he feels sparks of want dancing along his spine, spreading from where Gokuraku's teeth are holding his skin. It's not enough.
The thing in his stomach is quickly becoming restless. Impatient. There's an itch to move, to start shifting about. To try and move away - try and make Gokuraku stop him from moving away. And oh, that thought definitely kindles a fire in his stomach.
"Gokuraku," he huffs out, impatience getting the best of him. Immediately, he feels Gokuraku's teeth start to go slack, start to let go. "No, don't," he blurts out, the words breaking on a whimper that wrenches free from his throat. It comes straight from the chest, and clearly startles both of them. Ichi goes still. Beneath him, so does Gokuraku.

Tiny stubbles riddle across his jaw line and down his neck. Qifrey’s eyes glance downward where Olruggio’s hand slides back and forth across his upper abdomen.
“What are you gawking over?” Olruggio asks with a grumble, his mouth full. Something had been planted years ago within Qifrey and slowly it grew and grew until finally it blossomed— its petals reaching out towards the sun.Qifrey wanted to have a baby.

A silence fell between them, filled only by the distant laughter of the girls outside. Olruggio’s hands found their way into his pockets, shoulders hunched. He hesitated, rocking on his heels before finally blurting, "About last night…"
Qifrey startled, his eye darting briefly to Olruggio before flicking away, focusing on a loaf of bread left forgotten on the counter. "Forget about it," he said quickly, voice low, "I made it awkward. I always do."
“I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. You have a silver tongue, if anything.” Qifrey chuckled a little bit at that.
Olruggio hesitated, then shrugged, trying for nonchalance but failing utterly. "If you want the truth… I wouldn’t mind if we did more than just talk about politics."

Summary
The Silverwood had proven to be quite difficult to separate himself from, and without it, Qifrey feels incomplete in some ways. With its branches now safely resting outside upon a span of land visible from the atelier’s windows, Qifrey finds that incomplete feeling can be filled with other things: being a dutiful teacher, a helpful witch, and a loving partner.
But it is that last thing that he finds difficult. Not because he does not love Olruggio, no — he loves him far more than words can attest — but rather that the feeling of love and safety he’s given still causes lingering discomfort due to the fear the tree had placed in him. But day by day, he becomes more accustomed to it.

Qifrey tries to catalogue all of the places they touch, reminding himself that the contact is no longer dangerous. Olly’s nose is slotted against his temple, fingers having moved from between his shoulders to the base of his head. There’s a slight tickle where the hair on his chin brushes against Qifrey’s cheek. The other arm is wrapped loosely around his middle, squeezing against his tunic. Their legs aren’t exactly tangled, but he can feel Olruggio’s calf against his own, a bony knee against his thigh, and the press of something warm and firm against his hip. His own body is an unfortunate mirror, the hour still early and the closeness still unfamiliar.
