Summary
Wilson simply frowned, putting things together quicker than House would have liked. He opened his mouth to speak, then said nothing. His outstretched hand found its way onto House’s right arm, lightly clutching the skin.
House watched, his eyes trained on the man’s watch of all things, since it felt like forever since he had actually paid attention to what time it was. The clock told him it was 6pm; hardly late, yet hardly early either. It made him come to a realisation, at the very least.
Wilson - the man who was now moving his hand off of his arm and grimacing as the blood stringed between his fingers - was still currently on call. He was supposed to be at work, but he was here. He was here, helping him.
God… he really was stupid.

While the patient’s life is on the line, Wilson finds his concern drifting towards his friend and his current detoxing whilst out of work. After enough radio silence, he finally decides to go and see what he can do to set things right.

Jotaro doesn’t get it.
Josuke knew he wouldn’t. Doesn’t. Josuke can tell from the look on Jotaro’s face, the instant his sleeves are pulled up and Jotaro sees the mess he’s made of himself.
There’s a reason why he’s always in his uniform. There’s a reason why he stitched the sleeves a bit too tight around his wrists, making sure they wouldn’t ride up. He's got his reasons for doing all of it, and he just needs to make sure Jotaro understands that.
“I – uh, I can explain,” Josuke says weakly. Shit. Not like that.
“I can explain,” he repeats, more confidently. Yeah. Less like he’s about to cry, a little stronger in volume. “I don’t – I’m not sad, or anything. I don’t have problems. I’m just, just . . . ”

Sleeping was better than being awake, which was something he never thought he’d believe. He used to guzzle coffee like it was water, strengthening it with espresso shots so he could work well into the wee hours of morning and function throughout the rest of the day like a normal person while cutting sleep out entirely. Granted, his brothers intervened pretty quickly once they realized how frequently he’d been doing it and limited his caffeine intake (something he’d curse them about till the end of his days), but it was something he used to want to do.
Most days, now, he’d kill to never wake up again.
Or one time Leo was there for Donnie before the genius's self-destructive habits became permanent...
His teeth ached from how often he’d been lying through them, but anything was better than sitting through seemingly endless family meetings where everyone attempted to fix what they couldn’t.
...and one time Donnie returned the favor.
