HOLY SHIT. I literally sat in my chair for over four hours to finish reading this. What an emotional rollercoaster. The fluff is real, but I also have to say, the angst in this fic really GOT ME and I felt physically hurt when almost no fics do that to me. MarkHyuck in this fic is simply TOO ADORABLE and it's physically impossible to not ship them OMG. I root for Hyuck so, so, so much, for how deep his feelings run despite his nonchalant facade. It's also impossible not to feel attached to and protective of Mark, who is so insecure, flawed, but also so loyal and kind. It's absolutely amazing to me how the author was able to build such as a full, emotionally satisfying, life-like story from such seemingly simple settings. No element in this story is particularly groundbreaking, but somehow, it WORKS. And it works so well, too. I haven't read an RPF that's this good in a very, very long time.

This is some tooth-rotting stuff! (See what I did there?) The banter between Harry and Draco is laugh-out-loud funny, and I can't tell you how many times I cracked up like a wild animal because of Harry's adorkable-ness. This fic is a wonderful example of the kind of magic that a simple, wonderfully self-contained story can do. You don't need a complex backdrop to make the story appealing; the character themselves more than fill out the skin and bones of the story.

HOLY FUCK, does Faith Wood ever disappoint? EVER???? I can't believe they managed to write about a magical binding (literally) accident snowballing into full-on blowjobs, smut, and, dare I say it, RIMMING!!! And to somehow make the progress seem entirely exhilarating to read and utterly convincing, without the characterization slipping even one bit? I have to say that the characterization of Draco in this is SPOT ON. At the outset, he did act like a major pain in the ass, and was clearly quite homophobic. However, his undeniable physical attraction to Harry gradually led him to develop feelings for him (or perhaps these feelings were a long time in the coming). I wouldn't go so far as to say that Draco had a character arc in this fic, but we definitely get to learn about his thoughts (and attraction to Harry) in more depth as the story unfolds. I also really loved the characterization of Harry in this; everything is just PERFECT, not to mention all the HOT SEX. I'm getting more and more nit-picky with Drarry fics, but I honestly couldn't find a single flaw in this one, and that's saying something. Definitely one of my favorite Drarry fics, and DEFINITELY worthy of re-reads.
P.S. I commend the bit of bondage in this.

This was such an emotional, heart-wrenching ride for me! I rarely have the patience for fics that are this long, but this one was so well-paced that it didn't feel slow in the slightest. The development of Drarry's relationship felt genuine and well thought out, and I had the time to really get to know the dynamics between Harry and Draco and all the sweet little details in their relationship, precisely because this fic is so long. The characterization of both Harry and Draco in this is so likable, and their interactions so well-written, that I really came to root for them almost as real, living people instead of fictional characters.
Also. ALL THE PARTS OF THIS FIC ABOUT DRACO'S MAGICAL TATTOOS.
"He finished with the last of the buttons and slid Draco’s shirt away, his eyes already scanning over the familiar images. The most obvious was the hawthorn tree on Draco’s back, the dark trunk running straight up his spine, the boughs branching over his shoulder blades. Now, in the first days of June, the leaves were nearly hidden by the flowers blooming from it, and Harry couldn’t resist brushing his fingertips over them, watching them shiver as if in a breeze. He especially loved doing that in the autumn, when each stroke of his fingers brushed a small flurry of orange leaves free of their branches.
Below the tree was a field of lilies and narcissi, and those bloomed year round, even in winter when the hawthorn’s branches formed a skeleton web over Draco’s back. Harry knew that if he watched long enough, there was a tiny snitch that zipped around the tree, sneaking through the branches and dipping low to skim the flowers. Draco had come home with that one three years after getting the constellation on his arm, and Harry had spent long and wonderful hours of his life since then with Draco stretched out naked on his stomach, and Harry propped lazily on one elbow, trying to pin the little golden blur beneath one fingertip while Draco laughed and teased him that his Seeker abilities were slipping.
There was nothing new on his back, so Harry turned his attention to Draco’s arms. There was the green serpent curled around Draco’s right bicep that responded to parseltongue, and the four intricately patterned bands around his left bicep that shifted to spell out their children’s names when touched. Both forearms were already taken, one by the constellation and the other by scarring. There was the dragon tattoo down his left side, and his right side was still blank."
Another minor thing that I really liked from this fic was Draco's initial primness when it comes to sex. I really enjoyed reading about Draco opening himself up emotionally for Draco and letting his vulnerabilities show through, knowing Harry was right there for him, ready to listen. OH. And Draco in Harry's red hoodie. What I wouldn't do for an illustration of that!!! Like I said, the charm of this fic lies in all of its little details surrounding Drarry's relationship. Wonderful example of realistic and thoughtful character development!
The only tiny thing I didn't like so much was the big reveal of the culprit behind Draco's partners dying mysteriously...that really didn't feel convincing to me.

I can't believe just how many times I burst into laughter while reading this! This mouthy, brutally-honest-because-he-can't-help-it Draco was so much fun to read about. I've read a couple of fics featuring Veritaserum or some variation of the "honestly trope", but this one was especially delightful because even though the overall tone of the story was lighthearted, its moments of intimacy were very touching. Also, some of Draco's lines in this were so good that I don't think I'll ever forget about them even if I wanted to. That one about the cat eating stolen onions then licking all over Draco's face, for example, planted quite the image in my heard. Oh, and I liked that Draco did put his gorgeous mouth to some very good use in this one;)

Fics that explore magical theory in detail will always have a special place in my heart, and this one is no exception. The way in which the author laid out the groundwork and techniques of Occlumency is absolutely fascinating, and the fluff at the end feels much-earned. I really loved how patient and perceptive Draco is here as an instructor; I have never read a Drarry fic that explores this side of Draco in such depth, and it was absolutely delightful reading about it.

A time travel fic, but with extra fluff! This was so fluffy that it almost made my heart break for some reason. I also really liked how the time travel element in this fic mirrors the one in canon; it really is very cyclical and fun to read. And Drarry is just the perfect, wholesome couple in this, what with the switching and both being up to carrying a child.

Draco receives a fantasy mirror from Blaise and wanks to images of Harry...HELLO??? HOW BRILLIANT IS THIS IDEA??? And all the FEELS. The amount of FEELS in this story is absolutely devastating. I literally want to bookmark every single sentence in this fic. The characterization of Harry and Draco is just PERFECT, and I really loved the way Draco's insecurities are portrayed here; it's extremely realistic and touching. Also, the hurt/comfort elements are incredible because they show how Harry and Draco are just right for each other. And a bit of mutual pining/wanking over each other never hurt anyone! UGH I swear I have more things to say, but I can't seem to express just how impressed I am with this beautiful work. This is going on my favorite Drarry fic list RIGHT NOW and I expect to reread it for countless times in the future.

I have never read a fic in pure dialogue form that's THIS AMAZING. Astolat manages to write Draco and Harry in dialogue so flawlessly that it almost feels like they are jumping out of the screen at me. Also, the dialogue form adds a sense of voyeurism for the reader, which is always enjoyable. This is the first fic by Astolat I've read, and I already see what an amazing writer she is!

First of all, how cute is it that Harry and Draco both have keep a repository of facts about the other? HOW CUTE??? Harry's POV in this story is so entertaining, well-written, and sometimes laugh-out-loud funny. I loved the interaction between Draco and Harry; Draco, especially, what very much in character. Also, Harry scheming to get what (who) he wants and failing to be sneaky just really gets me. A great story all around.

OH BOY. What should I even say about this fic? It's so, so different from any other fan fic I've ever read. All the little details, the descriptions of scenery, the author's ability to convey the shades of communication between Draco and Harry without even using dialogue...all of it is breathtakingly beautiful, and just right. I don't think I've read a fic with so much ATMOSPHERE built into it. Also, I love, LOVE that this is a time travel fic but completely subverts your expectations about time travel fics. It somehow manages to seem complete real, palpable even, because of the way it details Harry's life; not just the exciting parts of it, but also the way he grows old, gets on with each dragging day, and laments over a past long gone, just like the rest of us. Last but not least, the ending is extremely satisfying to read because the author really takes their time building up to a sense of closure and contentment to Drarry's relationship. DEFINITELY RE-READ MATERIAL.

HOLY FUCKITY FUCK. I stayed up until 3am reading this. At first I was like, Draco casually wanking while Harry was in the same room??? How can you possibly write that without making Draco seem super OOC??? But this author did it. IT'S INCREDIBLE. The wonderful sense of intimacy between Harry and Draco, slowly blossoming as they learn more about each other, is simply beautiful. There is no other word for it. The sex scenes are also incredibly well-written too; the most adventurous thing Harry and Draco experimented with was frottage, but really, it's so HOT that I can't possibly complain. And I mean hot like passionate, soul-reaching sex with FEELS. The author manages to capture that intoxicating, addictive feeling of being in love perfectly; this is what really sold me on this fic, if not anything else. Also, HARRY DOING WANDLESS MAGIC. This is one of my favorite things to read about. And Harry mustering up his Griffindor courage, breaking out of his shell, and making that step to really enter a relationship with Draco. I will literally never get tired of reading about this.

Harry re-learns Parseltongue, and it drives Draco crazy with lust. The characterization of Harry is great; Draco is also mostly in character here, and the conversations between Draco and Harry are very accurate. I also enjoyed Harry getting jealous of girls who were trying to ask Draco out.
And THIS: "Harry felt a strange surge of warmth towards Malfoy; a feeling that he couldn’t identify. It messed with his head, since Malfoy had just threatened to hex a fellow student. But there was something about the cool confidence he had - the assurance that he was who he was, nothing more and nothing less. Something inside Harry felt confident that he knew exactly what Malfoy meant, although he was certain that very few people could say the same, and not only that - he liked it."
Self-assured Draco being irrevocably attracted to Harry and giving into his desires, Harry knowing what he wants and going for it, and most importantly, Harry growing to appreciate what Draco was--this is THE thing I enjoy reading about in Drarry fics. -

Simply the most well-written textfic I've ever read. Light BDSM, phone sex, plus the concealed/mistaken identity trope, and it's practically all my favorite fic elements in one appetizing package! The conversations between Drarry are simply flawlessly written, not to mention the spot-on characterization. Definitely up for a re-read.
