She frowned, gently turning his hand over in hers. The thought flashed in her mind, that she might have to help fix him. She had thought about it before, what might be under his metal skin, the mechanisms that let him walk and talk and play guitar. “All of the sudden? Has this ever happened before?”
Orville looked at her, he opened his mouth to answer and then hesitated. He was sitting in open-mouthed silence, his gaze fell and he started watching her bend each of his fingers individually, feeling all over his palm as she did so, trying to ascertain what was wrong.
