Summary
Abram and Mary were out of time. Their contact had been rotten, they were told he would be directing business at home, except he wasn't. Abram's father was on a business trip in Seattle. Abram and Mary were the business in question. Things never went as planned for them. For better or for worse. That was how they got here in the first place after all.
OR: If Nathan was less of a horrid father. The years spent of the run were the messiest fight over custody in all History. Stuart is done with their bullshit. Nathaniel "Identity/Family Issues" Wesninski still ends up with the Foxes. Everything goes to shit as usual.
AND: Columbia takes a dark turn when Nicky spoils Andrew's good intentions, Nathaniel's Unhinged Great Escape doesn't help, neither does The Butcher reclaiming answers about the mess. Andrew spirals from there, Nathaniel strikes a deal with him, and he is determined to have Andrew (+ others) see through the end of their healing journey, even if he has to drag them kicking and screaming all the way up. It only goes downhill from there.
First + Second years at PSU.

When Kevin Day leaves the Nest, there's no better person to send.

"Who the hell are you?" Andrew demanded.
He wasn't anyone, not really; not anymore. He hadn't really been anyone in years now. There'd been a time. Once. But there were entire lifetimes between who he could have been and what he'd become. He could taste it sometimes; blackberries and sand stinging his tongue like the iron branded on his shoulder.
It was easier to pretend he'd never been anyone at all.
"I'm nothing," he answered. The ghost of a smile pulled at his lips; sharp and cruel. "A wraith." The Wraith, he didn't say, but the shadows ran through Andrew's eyes and he wondered if Andrew had heard it anyways.
